Add IdleRPG to your server
Invite the bot, check its channel permissions, then start a realm.
1. Invite the bot
Opens Discord's add-to-server dialog. You need Manage Server on that server.
2. Permissions it needs
The invite grants these automatically. If the bot is already in your server, give its role the same in the realm's channel: View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, Read Message History, and Add Reactions (the ⏳ penalty feedback).
3. Who can use the commands
/irpg is for everyone; /irpgadmin is admin-only.
| Who | /irpg | /irpgadmin |
|---|---|---|
| Any member | Yes | No |
| Has Manage Server (or Administrator / server owner) | Yes | Yes |
| Allowed in an Integrations override | Yes | Yes |
| Denied in an Integrations override | Yes | No |
Creating a realm does not grant admin by itself; only the permission or an override does.
4. Limit admin to a role or person (optional)
By default anyone with Manage Server can use /irpgadmin. To hand it to one role or person instead:
- Server Settings › Integrations › IdleRPG › Command Permissions.
- On the
irpgadmincommand, deny@everyone. - Allow the role or person you want.
An allow here works even without Manage Server.
5. Start a realm
In the channel you want, run /irpgadmin start. Players then use /irpg join.
